Most LMSs stop at e-learning. Yours shouldn’t

Smart Arena delivers every format – self-paced, virtual, and classroom – as one process, with attendance, testing, and certificates in a single record. So every session a learner sits, in any format, becomes proof you can export at audit.

Learner's My Learning view – a blended learning path with live (vILT), self-paced and blended courses
Blended learning

One hub for every kind of training.

Combine self-paced e-learning with live instructor-led and virtual sessions into true blended learning – so different roles, shifts, and learning styles are served by one platform instead of scattered tools.

Instructor-led training

The classroom stays. The paper goes.

Most LMSs stop at e-learning, so live workshops get run in three tools at once – a spreadsheet for seats, a calendar for dates, email for everything else. Smart Arena manages instructor-led training end to end, in the same platform as the rest of your training.

One platform · one record

Seats, dates, invitations, attendance, and cost live on the same session – and report themselves alongside e-learning.

Step 1: Plan

Plan each workshop to the detail.

Seats & capacity
Cap the places; when it's full, enrollment stops automatically.
Date, duration & breaks
Set the date, time, total length, and scheduled breaks.
Location on a map
Pin where it's held, built in – attendees know exactly where to go.
One or many instructors
Assign one instructor or several to each session by content.
Automatic notifications
Date, location, and any change go out by email automatically.
Cost tracking
Record cost per session or per learner for true spend reporting.
ILT session planner – date & breaks, seats & capacity, instructors, cost tracking, automatic notifications, location map and waitlist
Session sign-in – attendance confirmed per learner with department and certificate status; the same session runs over Zoom or Teams
Step 2: Deliver

From attendance to certificate – three phases, all in-platform.

Delivery & attendance
The instructor confirms who attended, per session – no paper to scan and file.
Testing
Run e-testing in-platform or enter live results; each attaches to the learner automatically.
Reporting & certificate
Per-workshop stats, the certificate issued, and activity pushed to HR.

Virtual (vILT): run the same sessions over Zoom or Microsoft Teams with native attendance tracking – classroom rigor, no room required.
Course catalogs

One catalog. Sign-ups without the manual entry.

Publish a training course catalog for a whole period – an annual plan employees can act on. The process runs in three connected phases with zero manual enrollment.

Course catalog – 2026 annual plan with three enrollment phases (create, applications, confirmation), seats, and approval status
01
Create

Set the catalog's timeframe – an annual plan – duration, description, and the list of courses.

02
Applications

People apply themselves, or are enrolled by their manager or department head, or assigned by role. Set an enrollment deadline.

03
Confirmation

Approve or reject applications up to a confirmation deadline; confirmed learners are then enrolled automatically.

Notifications keep the right people informed – approvers are told when an enrollment or confirmation deadline is near, switchable on or off by status.

Personalized training on a set schedule
A predefined, time-based rollout – monthly or quarterly. Admins assign specific content to be completed within a set timeframe (6–12 months), often for onboarding, compliance, or certification refreshers.
Multi-module courses

Big programs, one structure, one certificate.

Some training is too big for a single course – onboarding, sales certification, leadership development. Multi-module courses solve it: a parent program made of standalone, reusable modules.

Cumulative progress
One completion figure across every module.
Reusable modules
“Product basics” lives in sales & technician programs alike.
Two-level reporting
Program at a glance, then drill into any module.
Sales certification program – cumulative progress across modules, one certificate at 100%, per-module completion and a reusable module
Connect with Automation

Automation watches for role changes, new hires, and renewal dates, then enrols people into the right multi-module program in Learn on its own – so paths build themselves and no one has to assign training by hand.

The ecosystem in action
01
An employee is promoted to branch manager.
02
Automation detects the change and checks the criteria.
03
They're auto-enrolled in the “Manager academy” multi-module program – no HR admin.
04
Result: zero-touch admin, a fully personalized path for each employee.
Where Learn connects

Delivery is one part of the platform – not a separate tool.

Courses arrive from authoring, evidence flows into compliance, and every completion reports itself – without exports or a second system.

“Live workshops meant a spreadsheet, a calendar, and a folder of paper sign-in sheets – now attendance, testing, and the certificate are one flow.”

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Does Smart Arena support more than self-paced courses?+

Yes – the platform covers every delivery format from one place: self-paced online courses, instructor-led training (ILT) in the classroom, virtual classroom and webinars (Zoom, MS Teams), and blended paths that combine them. Live-session attendance is tracked automatically, so classroom and virtual training carry the same records and reporting as everything else.

Can we build multi-course programs and learning paths?+

Yes. Group courses into structured learning paths with order, prerequisites, and completion rules – so a program unfolds step by step rather than as a pile of separate courses. Paths can be assigned by role, department, or location, or triggered automatically (a new hire gets the full onboarding path; a review kicks off a development path).

Can employees browse and enrol themselves from a catalog?+

Yes. Alongside assigned training, you can publish a self-service catalog where employees browse and enrol in courses on their own – from the 400+ ready-made library or your own content. HR sets what's mandatory and assigned; the catalog covers everything else, so people can drive their own development without waiting on admin.

Will it work for frontline and mobile staff?+

Yes – Smart Arena is mobile-first, so people who don't sit at a desk can learn on a phone with no app to install. Content works in short units suited to shift breaks and on-location work, and employees can complete training and e-sign confirmations directly from mobile. Reach warehouse, field, and retail teams the same way you reach office staff.

Can we reuse our existing courses and content?+

Yes. Import existing courses via SCORM 1.2 and 2004 with no loss – bring what you've already built or bought from a previous LMS. You can also upload PPT, PDF, Word, or video and let Coursly AI turn them into finished interactive courses. Nothing you've already invested in has to be rebuilt.
